As I wrote in yesterday’s Musing, a terrible mistake appears to have been made, and my book, Otherwise Engaged, has been named one of the "Top 20 Leadership Books of 2015" by Leadership and Management Books magazine. L&MB will cut that list down from 20 to 5 based on votes cast by the reading public...which is where you have a chance to weigh in.
As I wrote yesterday: “If you were so inclined, I would be thrilled and most grateful were you to cast a vote for Otherwise Engaged. And if you were also inclined to forward the link to the ballot to six- or eight-thousand of your closest friends and associates along with a nudge toward a vote for my book, I’d be even more thrilled and grateful.”
Here’s how you—and they—can cast a vote. Just click here , which will take you to the L&MB ballot page, and then click on the VOTE NOW button. You will be asked to enter your name and email address, after which you’ll be taken to a page listing all 20 nominees. Scroll down a bit and you’ll find a thumbnail of the cover of Otherwise Engaged. Click on the radio button next to it and –voila!—your vote will have been cast. Please note that the deadline for voting is Monday, February 15.
I realize and am embarrassed by the fact that it’s hard to get much more self-promotional than this. (Would it help any if I said that I’m blushing as I type these words?) But hey, what the hell: a man’s gotta do what a man’s gotta do.
But whether you vote for OE or not, thank you for making it all the way to the end of such a spectacularly self-serving Musing.
