This is the sixth consecutive Wednesday on which we’ve posted a new chapter of the Wilsons’ Story—as always—free-of-charge. And since the Wilsons’ Story only has six chapters...we’re done!
No more Musings with another chapter to read. No more shameless self-promotion about letting others know about our unprecedentedly generous offer. (It’s true; we’ve never been this generous before (and we’re not likely to be again).) Best of all, no more trying to wring any more life out of the dessicated husk of the lame “tie-the-release-of-a-new-Wilsons-chapter-to-famous-people-who-happened-to-have-been-born-on-this-date” gag that has been running in parallel with these chapter offerings.
Speaking of lifeless husks...today would have been singer Joe Cocker’s 71st birthday had he not passed away in 2014. It would have been actor James Stewart’s 107th. And were she alive today, former first lady Dolly Madison would have been 247 years old, as well as a constant source of annoyance to Michelle Obama around the White House.
