THE DIRTY LITTLE SECRET ABOUT EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT

Its thesis:  Engagement is in the same neck of the woods as “buy-in.”  If you have something you want people to buy (into), then you’d be well advised to give some consideration to: whom you’re trying to reach; what matters most to them, and how what you have overlaps with what matters to them....all of which is a pretty good summary of the marketer’s task.  When you add in the fact that to a lot of people, engaging in sales and/or marketing activities is a bit unseemly, you wind up with a secret that, if not dirty, is at least a little bit raunchy.
